Peter Elliott Peter was educated at Kings School, Rochester. He moved on to the Buddy Bradley Stage School, Piccadilly, London. Trained as a dancer and subsequently worked in many shows firstly as a chorus dancer and finishing as a principal dancer in the Howard and Wyndham production of 5 Past 8 in Glasgow.
 He began his show business career as one half of
"The Elliott's" (his wife Billy was the other half).
They toured the British Isles and, in 1952, did a long summer season in Leven, Scotland.

He was called up for National Service and served two years with the Royal Air Force (1953-1955).
On leaving the service Peter toured Italy as a single dancing act and was invited to appear in the 1958 Royal Variety Performance held in the presence of
Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at the London Coliseum.

Peter had earlier worked at the Windmill Theatre where he met
Jimmy Edmundson and they formed the very successful double act of "Edmundson and Elliott".
They worked in Variety, summer season, and pantomime and as resident comedians on television with
Billy Cotton and Rolf Harris. They completed spells at London's Prince of Wales Theatre, Victoria Palace and The Edmundson & ElliottLondon Palladium until the late 1960s. Jimmy decided to call it a day in 1967, and Peter joined
Dick EmeryDick Emery as his straight man on stage  in cabaret and on television and for many years received the slap after Dick said 'Ooooh you are awful, but I like you'. In 1973, after a career of thirty years, he quit personal appearances and went into management via the Grade Organisation. He managed Dick Emery for fifteen years as well as the careers of Norman Wisdom, Kathy Kirby, American singer
Dick Haymes and many others.

Peter Elliott was one of Britain's top pantomime producers undertaking production of sixteen major pantomimes per year in Great Britain, plus The London Palladium. In 1986 he was invited by the late Lord Delfont, the then Life President of the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund to run the charity as its chief executive and administrator, which he has been doing ever since, transforming the Fund's home, Brinsworth House in Twickenham, Middlesex.
In addition Peter is partly responsible for the annual Royal Variety Performance which is staged in the presence of either Her Majesty The Queen or His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

His other charitable interests apart from the EABF are his work in seven Masonic Lodges and the
Grand Order of Water Rats, he is currently secretary of Chelsea Lodge N0.3098.
